Lasius subgenera
Lasius is divided into subgenera with distinct lifestyles: Lasius s. str. (common garden ants), Chthonolasius and Dendrolasius (temporary social parasites), and Cautolasius (yellow subterranean species with citronella scent). Ubiquitous across the Palearctic.
